I used to refer to Rome as a bad boyfriend too! I have rethought this analogy and now think of the city as a difficult relative. One who loves you but has a sharp edge. In the end I did leave Rome for a more seductive complicated place 🤷♀️
ooo interesting, I hadn't thought of difficult relative. I think LA is my difficult relative, it's exhausting and complicated but I can't escape it and have to visit for holidays and I still love it though it drives me crazy.
The rain is actually a redeeming quality for me haha but a bit over getting barreled down by the men physically and metaphorically as well or going to run an errand and have the place be closed for that specific date and time hahaha
